Ville: 2010 in school the "working 3rd party software ecosystem" with always online device should be simply the Firefox (or some other capable web-browser).

The Apple iTunes' 3rd party "fart software" success is of course true, but do we need them in schools?

it comes with windows because there is a working 3rd party software ecosystem for windows os.

that is also the biggest challenge maemo has: to create a functioning 3rd party software market to drive the platform forward and create incentives for innovation. apple managed to create this with itunes app store and at the moment nokia is failing miserably with ovi store. :(
